The Full Story
I’ve always been passionate about making a difference. I hold a Social Policy & Sociology Degree, a Postgraduate Diploma in Youth & Community Development, and an Advanced QLS Level 7 Diploma in Coaching and Mentoring.

I founded and ran MEA (Mentoring for Educational Achievement), a project supporting young people at risk of exclusion from mainstream education. Through mentoring, counselling, and family support, we worked with schools across Sandwell, helping over 1,800 young people and their families. I also developed an NCFE-accredited Life Skills programme using poetry and short stories, combining creativity with personal development.

Despite raising over £1.5 million in funding, after 13 years, reductions in youth funding meant MEA had to close. It was heartbreaking, as the need was still there, but I had to step into the next chapter of my life.
I turned to writing—something I’ve always loved—and built a personalised gifts business, creating keepsakes that celebrate milestones and bring comfort. For 14 years, I poured my creativity into making meaningful gifts, but something was missing. I realised I longed for the face-to-face support I once provided. That’s when everything clicked—I could combine both passions.

Over the years, my life has changed in ways I never expected. I’ve faced bereavement, separation, and other painful experiences that left me feeling lost, questioning my purpose. There were moments I wanted to give up, but instead, I kept showing up—day after day—even when I didn’t know why.

While I know there are incredible counsellors out there, my experience wasn’t a positive one. I was told that others were in worse situations, which was difficult for me to hear when going through such a traumatic period in my life. I believe that everyone’s experience is relative, and no pain is less significant because someone else’s may seem greater. That perspective is at the heart of my coaching approach. I see each person’s story as unique, deserving of compassion and understanding without comparison. Following on from my experience, I decided to take things one day at a time, slowly coming to terms with everything I’d been through. Eventually, I started to put myself first, recognising my own worth and seeing the beauty in who I am.

That shift changed everything. I refocused, channelled my energy into making a difference again, and found a renewed purpose—helping others who have faced similar struggles. I want to offer hope, support, and guidance to those who feel lost, helping them take steps towards their own goals, whatever they may be.
I bring both professional expertise and real-life experience, and I understand firsthand how difficult yet transformative this journey can be. You don’t have to do it alone—let’s take this journey together.
